Auto Dimming Mirror Set to Always Off

Is there a way to set the Auto Dimming Mirror to be always off when I start the engine and just turn it on, when I needed?

Already did. It only says how to turn it off after it turns one when you turn the engine on. Not what I'm asking. If there's now way, then so be it.

So we had this issue. Ended up being covered by a sticker the dealer put in the back of the mirror. The sticker was used for service and when the car pulled up it would upload all the details in their system. Took it off and worked just how it should. Look on the driver side back of the rearview mirror. Our sticker was a thin black one.
