Hey all - considering buying another GX - it seems that from 2017-on, it's impossible to get air suspension, adaptive cruise, and a bench seat (since the luxury only comes with captains). Is that true?

 

No. You can get a bench

One of the main reasons I bought a 2016 was because I couldn't find a 2017 or 2018 Luxury model with a bench seat. They may be available somewhere, but they were obtanium while I was in the market. I had 2nd row captains chairs in my '05 Sequoia and IMHO, they were more trouble than they were worth.

I think they went back to more bench seats in 2019. Maybe it was a failed experiment. Looks like a minivan with the captains chairs. At least the Sequoia had a center console...

 

I think that was just 2017. Most of the 2018 Luxury’s I’ve seen in California have bench seats.

 

We have a 2020 Luxury coming in JAN with the 2nd row bench seat. Buckets are standard with the Sport pkg but you can get either with just the Luxury or Luxury + Off Road pkg.
