i have 2013 vehicle full option and im having problem to play YouTube via bt on my vehicle because I don’t have the option on the screen!
Please check below the image for more info. i would love to know what to do in that case!

like you see. i have two options missing ( Audio & Others)

like you see. on the top line of the option at AM FM etc. There are 2 options missing (BT & SAT)

• Did you just purchase this vehicle?

• When you press PHONE does it allow you to pair the phone with head unit and can you make/take calls?

• This could me some market level difference between North American models and vehicles in your area.

There are some differences in world related to wiring, features and modules.

OP is asking that he had problem to play VIDEO via BT. I don't even thing GX BT supports video. It only support BT Audio for my understanding.

 

You are definitely missing BT & SAT tabs on that screen

 

I've never tried but fairly sure any audio source on the phone will stream through via BT/A2DP... video won't of course. I mainly use Pandora myself.

I need to ask zhs if his GX has these missing. I think he was from Ukraine. I've seen some similarities between the Eurasian and GCC optioned 460s.

 

i play youtube through mine. it doesnt show the video but the music plays.

i can sync my bluetooth phone to the car to make calls but the only problem is that playing audio (music Youtube)
i bought the car from kuwait lexus company with 21000 kwd back 2013.

 

yes, the issue here is playing audio BT from youtube or w/e App. the whole option is not there in the display screen. the bt calls working only.

 

yes. is there any fix too that issue? i mean.. can i update the display or add those BT + SAT from chip or w/e?

You will need to determine what are the specs for Lexus in your region regards the BT option. Outside North America Region, there is no SAT and HD for the radio, I am not sure if there are other limitations for BT. Those functions are controlled by BT Profiles. You should look through the Owner's Manual to determine which BT profiles have been listed for your GX. Since you stated phone operation correctly, it is very much possible the stream profile is not included for your region due to government regulation? (maybe)

 

Ive added BT to a couple Lexus before. There's a few ways. You can get something like from GROM that plugs in the back of the radio, and the it uses a BT adapter through OEM SAT or AUX, and the OEM controls work. This means removing the radio, and not sure there's a simple one for GX. These were little modules, used to cost 50-100$.

You can get a BT to 3.5 AUX adapter. These are about 10 -15$ and take no wiring, just plug into the AUX. easy and works.



You could just use the AUX with a cable. This isnt adding BT but will allow playing youtube audio

 

From what i see. old GX460 models and even some of GْْْX has the BT option but my car type(2013) full option has not lol.. i will just go with John00 idea and plugin that AUX adapter and play that youtube audio.
