On the lower right of the screen, notice the cars paralleled parked? Touch that icon, and watch what happens. I'm not saying its user friendly, but it's there. Also you can change the lines on the backup camera by touching the icons on the lower left at that screen and it will show where your wheels will travel at maximum movement.

I get what the OP is asking because I too wondered how the Parallel Parking Assist works. On my GX I do not have icons on the lower left and right. I suspect the OP doesn't either. My guess is that the lower left/right icons are only available with the wide view camera. Otherwise, Parallel Park Assist is synonymous for proximity sensors aka "beep".

My 2014 Prem Pkg GX has never offered those icons under any conditions, and I suspect other GX owners have experience (or NOT experienced) the same thing.

GX's equipped with NAV have the wide-angle camera, so it doesn't make sense.

Not true. Even the Lexus website doesn't support your statement.

Default Hmm, might be a DS Package thing then.

I have them on mine, however I have the front and side view cameras as an option. The parallel parking one is quite different. Took some reading and playing in a parking lot to get used to it.

The lower left icon that changes the tire lines for maximum markings will come in handy when off road and backing up as you can predict where you will go and if you will go into something grade wise and or above the ground.

the GX will not park itself like the fords. A disgrace if you ask me.

My GX has no grids or parallel lines on rear view. Another feature lexus left off the 2010s.

Just checked the manual and it says "sensors only".

My 2014 GX 460 Luxury shows lines, my 2010 GX 460 Premium did not. The 2014 GX 460 won't park itself.

Default 2015 GX 460 Park Assist

Does the 2015 GX 460 beeps when you're really near an object? Mine only alerts me when there is a moving object. I checked the lexus park assist and it's on but no alert. It doesn't alert when I'm reversing or when I'm driving forward when I'm parallel parking. Can someone please help?

Default Lexus park assist

You checked the menu and it is turned on. I do not know what page in the manual it is on but you can turn the sound down or up. That may be your problem. If not, and it is still under warranty let Lexus dealer take care of it.

Yes it's turned on and the volume is at the max (5). It beeps when a moving object is approaching. It's weird. I guess I'll have to take it back to the dealer. Thanks for your reply.

How have you tested this? my GX beeps much later than my RX, meaning i have to get a lot closer to an object before it beeps.
