I wonder if anyone can tell me if I can get the following configuration?

Luxury - Silver/exterior, Black/interior
Driver Support Package
Sport Design Package "WITHOUT Captain's chairs on 2nd row"

My local texas told me that they can not order one w/o bucket seat for 2nd row. Wonder if it's the same for all dealers or this guy at the dealer just wanted to sell me what they have...
It seems like all big SUVs come in bucket seats in 2nd row which I don't see practical. I'd like to put child seat in the middle and have two adults sit by it. I don't use 3rd row as I put large luggage all the time.

Per my Lexus Sales Manage you CAN get a Luxury with 2nd row Bench seats for 2018. For 2017, ALL Luxury and Sport Edition came with Captain's chairs on 2nd row.

 

my 2018 GX is a luxury trim with 2nd row bench seat. I believe you can get sport package with 2nd row bench seat as well. Which dealership did you talk to? I'm in texas as well (houston to be exact)

It's good to know that 2018 offers bench seat. It was last summer when I communicated with the guy at a local dealer in DFW area so we were talking 2017 model.

 

I was in the boat as you. I bought 17' GX premium in Sept even though luxury trim is what I want and willing to pay but they required captain chairs. It's kinda ridiculous to think that if you want luxury, you cann't have choice of 2nd row bench as option. When 18' model came out in December, I found out that luxury trim no longer requires captain chairs, I quickly traded for the 18' luxury trim right away

Well just confirmed that Luxury can come with bench seat but sport design package can not. So if I want the bench seat, I have to give up the sport package...

 

You could always add it afterwards..but this doesn't include the rims.
