I agree with that 100 percent. But if you look at the picture the lights don't look in "uniform" style. The left light lools different from the right one. Do you know what I mean?

Do you mean how the right one has the notch/elevated portion? I've had many cars with cutoff lines like that. It's allegedly to help illuminate road signs on the right side of the road.
Also, the rumor (since I don't know if its official) is that Toyota in the past has generally been opposed to HID headlights in their larger SUVs because of the impact on other drivers. When they gave the GX HIDs, they intentionally aimed them low to help cut down on glare.
It's probably the same for the auto-leveling functionality on the '14+ LEDs but here a couple pics of the auto level sensor. It is located on the left rear side inside the rear air bag on my '12. There are adjustments on it. Not sure how much playing with this would affect forward beam.
EDIT: Disregard this... I think this is the sensor the rear suspension auto-level..... I need another cup of coffee :-)
EDIT2: Looking at FSM on 14+ it appears there might be a right suspension sensor on all models. On Luxury it would also be used by the load-leveling suspension as well. The Luxury would also have one on the left side.
I have a 2016 ES350. The headlights just point too low. I looked for adjustment screws all over and around headlights. I cannot find any hole that leads to a screw. I see markings for U/D and L/R (Up/Down and Right/Left). But see not screws to adjust. I did remove the cover. but no luck. So how to I adjust them higher.

It looks similar to what the finger is pointing to. The Philips screw driver would slide into the the gears and turn the screw.
Unfortunately my FSM is for a '14 so it doesn't cover headlights of the earlier non-LED models. On LED there are these adjustments.
I have a 2017 Lexus GX 460 and my low beams would only give me about 20 feet of light. I gave the low beam adjustment about 20-25 full turns in the clockwise direction to aim them higher and now I can see about 70 feet or more ahead. I parked the SUV really close to the closed garage door so I can see the light beam adjusting upwards or downwards on the garage door. I now feel much safer driving in dark country roads. Thanks for the tip.

when you say 20-25 full turns, do you mean full turns of your screwdriver or of the actual adjustment gear?
With my lift and tire upgrade, my headlights were pointed way to high. I marked the original gear position with a sharpie. Then I turned it counterclockwise 3 full turns of the actual adjustment gear and it is just right.

Kudos for taking the time to properly adjust your lights as to not blind other drivers.
It was 20-25 complete turns of my screw driver. Each complete turn is not really noticeable but if you mark the top of the light beam on the garage door with some tape then you will actually see the light beam going higher or lower.
My 2012 had the worst headlight alignment of all of my GX's. It was way too low, border lining being dangerous. It looked like the beam went about 20 ft in front of the car and did not go off to the sides at all. Where we live the road to get to our subdivision is a 2 lane hilly road, very dark with some good curves. Not too uncommon to find deer on the road, with my 2012 I would not see them till I was on top of them. I even had several passengers comment that the headlights were almost worthless! I had the Xenon lighting and the dealer said it was normal (no surprise there). My 2004, 2015, and 2017 all had/have great lighting dispersion. I think it is something with the 2012 model year...

This may be a long stretch since the post was a while back...but, did you ever find out what the issue was with the lights? I purchased a 2013 GX 460 early January 2021 and a day and a half later hit a deer. Needless to say, I was devastated... the vehicle was in pristine condition. I really did not notice it at the time but the beam on my lights also are good for about 15-20' and then it is pitch black. I am hoping the body shop can make the correction to the headlights. These Texas highways are fast (some 75mph) and the visibility is truly lacking.
Hi, noticed my driver side is slightly pointing towards the right.
i'm looking for the horizontal lamp adjustment and the vertical for the Low Beams. can someone help me? I see several access slots under the hood but not sure which is which.
