I have an 11' with 70k miles. I feel like my low beams are dim. I don't know whther or not hid bulbs dim over time or not.

Anyone have experience replacing their bulbs? If so, would you recommend oem? There seems to be lots of LED options out there. I favor reliability over performance.

 

They definitely get dim over time. They are likely pretty easy to change on the GX as there is a lot of room in that area IIRC swapping the fog assemblies.

I'll let other recommend the specific brand. I used to use Bosch in my Maxima and the ones in my 10 year old G35x still haven't failed.

Do you know if your GX is a Base or Premium? If not sure... do you have the adjustable suspension?

If you have HID bulbs, the OEM bulb model is D4S. I'd look for a Phillips D4S replacement, make sure it is genuine Phillips (not a knock off brand) and look for the best price possible. If you buy from the dealer you will pay a ton.

I will likely replace the HID bulbs and maybe the fogs some time in the near future.

 

Do both them go dim or just one? I feel like mine aren’t too bright either when comparing to some other cars but I don’t know how to really except wait until they turn purple or something lol.
I read that Morimoto Xb HID D4S are good too and found them at a good price at the link below. I may just pick a pair up for the winter because I’m planning to head up the slopes a few times this season.

bbqsoup, it's pretty subjective on my part. They just don't 'seem' as bright and illuminating as other vehicles.There are so many options out there for sure.

Is it very simple to replace bulbs? I'm mostly concerned with accidentally introducing dust or dirt into the bulb area.
