if you dont mind, what was the reason for the transmission replacement?
Around 144k 05/2024; Started slipping big time in 4th only when down-shifting (overpasses, accelerating on freeway, etc - engine would redline), and then suddenly started slipping in all gears and would not get above 30MPH (never changed the ATF fluid before, and admittedly have a lead foot).
Luckily, even with that mileage on a 2017, the unlimited mileage CPO VSA saved my ***, and also had a brand new loaner for over a month and put thousands of miles on it for free.
I was a bit more proactive with maintenance on my 2013 4Runner - including the transmission. It went to 235k mi w/o any major repairs before it was totaled - so I'm looking to get this reman tranny serviced now while it's still "young" This GX also had a new radiator, valley plate re-seal and water pump (all CPO/VSA warranty) plus a head gasket (Lexus Goodwill payed over 50% just out of warranty) within the last 50k mi - so hoping to get past the 4Runner's 235k MI if I'm lucky I DON'T want a car payment and haven't had one in many years...

Had to try them out, was too good a deal to pass on. Im sure they will rub some, but have not yet on the couple of city drives I have done so far.
As I posted earlier - Just be careful when coming close to full compression and 15*-30* steering angle. I have stock wheels and only run Nitto G2's in 265/65/18's (only a "+1", and just barely due to the 65 ratio sidewall), and caused body damage (bumper cover in front of wheel and at headlight) at full compression while steered in that 15*-30* angle. You are surely at a larger OD than I am and with more offset. If you hear the rubbing at moderate compression (pulling into driveways, etc), you might very well end up with damage like I had at full compression...

appreciate the heads up. When that happened to you, had you removed those little splash guards on the front (bumper side) of the wheel well? I could see those really taking the bumper for a ride, being thick plastic, attached with 3 bolts to a metal bracket....
I did hear my first little 'brrrrrrmph' pulling into a drive yesterday. Very slight, and I still need to check where it touched if marks happen to be there.
