50-75 is normal for entire windshield, even higher. this is beneficial with polarization and if ceramic then heat and damage to the front interior. for the strip 5-15 is normal to block light in the visor gaps or to get a little lower coverage.

I disliked the wood wheels, as compared to my old FJ that just had a continuous leather wheel. The Blackline wheel being a matte wood did feel better than the glossy versions. Plus the sides only being heated was not ideal.

Picked this up from another forum member. Feels nicer, and 360 degree heat. Install was quite simple once I figured out how the button portion was attached once all screws were out. (just pops off lol)

Thats awesome. My blackline has only 25k miles and the steering wheel looks awful. Do you have a part number for this?

I'd also be interested in a part number for that steering wheel. I would much rather have leather all the way around instead of the matte wood. I already had the steering wheel replaced once because the matte wood finish was coming off.

I do now have one like this if you are interested in it. OEM, heated (on the sides only like OEM does). Feel free to message me if so.

There is no part number for the one I put in- Its one of those "custom made" ones people buy aftermarket. Not sure on the source or how long ago it was made. They all seem to be carbon fiber these days lol.

Sad to hear that John but happy that hopefully you got a new ride you love. May I ask what you got now?

little snowmageddon project this weekend.

I’ve disliked the brakes on every GX I test drove and the 2022 I eventually bought was no different. I’m comparing it to the FJ Cruiser with Stoptech I had last and partly our BMW with rather incredible Brembos.

So we’re going to add a few pistons. Excuse the patterned disks. I wanted to try them out and liked the coating. If they suck they are rather inexpensive and easy to replace with full solid rotors.

Hardwired a dashcam with front and rear cams, used junction box connectors for BAT+ (Constant power) I used the Power Seat / Tilt & Telescoping Steering Memory Power which is protected bvy a 30A fuse and for the ACC Power i used the Main Body ECU Accessory Signal. So far so good, got rid of that nasty cable going to my 12v lighter plug.

3D Printed and installed an air duct deflector, connected in front of the driver side rear passenger a floor air vent. Cold air is now blowed directly to the fan under the seat. Great for summer, ur butt will get cold real quick!
