I probably won't get to this install until early May though. If I do find distance limiting I might play with ways to make it greater.
It took me about 2 hours to install the module using the provided instructions. Getting techstream to work....about 6 hours

I've already had most of the dash stuff out for MTS module and I do have a working Techstream install already. I've used it for a couple TPMS resets, basic info gathering and the Zero Point Calibration for Crawl.

Now if the Techsteam steps themselves are problematic it might make for some long hours on some Saturday. Can you elaborate on your Techstream issues with it?

Thanks!

Sorry should’ve clarified, techstream issues were with installing it. Once that was done programming took like 10 minutes.

I think the glove box, lower kick panel, knee airbag, blower, and pretty sure door card all come off/out. Sounds like it should be a breeze for you.

Word of advice on Techstream.. put it on something you don't care about and strip out all the unnecessary software before you install. Once confirmed working disconnect all networking and don't worry about need to patch as it will be an out of band device. It you are really paranoid pull the microphone out so it isn't air-gapped :-)

unfortunately I think I already gave my computer the AIDS. The cd was loaded with a ton of malware and spyware.

i do remember I had to change countries several times to access the menus. I forget which country I used but it wasn’t US

Successfully installed the OEM FOB based Remote Start this morning. Everything pretty much went according to instructions... only thing is I left the hood closed and had to rerun the sequence twice. It appears that it needed to be open on one of the steps because you will see the hazards flash twice if successful while closing the hood.

EDIT: Range seems to be as good as tecman's

For any '10-'15 owners this is kit I used. I bought on one where he had "Make Offer" so he took $75 and with shipping took it to $100.

I think he has a lot of these and he is located in the country of Georgia.

I would have preferred this remote start option for the 16+. The whole subscription based service is a complete sham and didn’t work as well as I hoped.

Then again, I don’t use the key fob anymore, so this might not have worked out for me in the long run.

I helped someone via PM a while back and an important step to remember is on page 19 of install instructions to ----> close the driver's door before you close the hood

Driver's door wasn't being closed so programming sequence would fail.

Unfortunately, this seller no longer sells the module

If I see one for reasonable price for sale I will let you know. Since my install I've seen a few on eBay for around $150 USD. Not seeing any on there right now for that price.

Please check and verify before buying.
I was looking around on eBay and found these.
From the listing below, the part number on the box is: PT398-60112 but the actual part on the ECU Module is PT398-0T097
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexus-GX460...2/113300829685

Searching for the same part number, PT398-0T097 shows that a few listed as GX460 compatible.

Looks like PT398-0T097 works on a lot of different vehicles but the wiring harness in kit is likely different.
