Personally the chnages are so minor that it should really be included in the base instead of calling it "sport package" add on option.

They wasted a lost of money on the new Sport front grill. Coming down the road at you nobody will even know it's different. And it might be the first time in history that a vehicle offered a "Sport" package that actually adds more chrome.

Of course he would. He gets paid to sell them. One other thing I thought of, why does it not come with the F Sport wheels?

This makes me glad I pulled the trigger on a 2016. The 2017 offers a little better 360 camera, but that's about it. I don't want the captain chairs. It'd be nice to have direct injection and an 8 speed for better MPG, although I find the six speed nicely spaced. Rear passenger door shades, a non-electronic climate controls for fan speed, and an accompanying digital speedometer in center of the instrument cluster would be a bit nicer.

Is it me or does the GX with the Sport Appearance Package in the first pic above look to be sitting slightly lower (less wheel gap) than the regular GX in the bottom pic?

it does look that way. That would make me a bit jealous. Bit it IS my wifes😉

BTW, I'm a fan of the CTS-V. My last really fast car was a 2009 Z06. I sold it after four years because I was building a collection of fast bikes. I always like seeing real gear heads on forums like this.

I am curious, where did you see in the new marketing brochure or online this feature ? Previously it was only available in the Driver Support Package if I am not mistaken (which was more an additional front camera and side passenger mirror camera)
And I am with you on the captain chairs, I just bought a 2016, and I am so glad I did not wait for the 2017 model.
