Besides the Navigation screen being bright, does the GX have ambient lighting outside or inside like the other models in the lineup.

 

This may only apply to the 2010-2013, as I haven't been inside the newer ones, but my ambient lighting is as follows:
1. Center console overhead LEDs (shine down from roof onto shifter area)
2. Interior door handle LEDs
3. Front footwell LEDs
4. Rear footwell LEDs

These are the only ones I've noticed. They generally aren't like the newer ambient lights in luxury cars which are more noticeable. I believe the GX even dims the few lights it has when you're driving. For me, coming from a car that had excellent interior ambient lighting, the GX may as well have none.

As for the exterior, the running board lamps also function as puddle lamps and light up the running boards and the area along the wheelbase. The scuff plates also light up the Lexus name.

 

i was at the dealership a couple weeks ago, and recently had some time to sample a q7. The car "wakes up" at night with a bazilliion leds. Soft glow, but adds to a premium feel. Randomly wondering whether the GX has the same option. Guess e90 esque style lighting is what the GX is
