...those sweet LED interior dome lights that give off the nice bright white glow instead of the standard (and IMO ugly halogen yellow)? I know many of the new Lexus models feature that (06+ GS) just wondering if the GX had that as well. If not, does anyone know the bulb applications to replace all the interior bulbs and maybe even the exterior license plate bulbs? Has anyone done this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

 

I know the 06 don’t have LED's. I'm not sure of the newer GX's.

I replaced all the interior lights with LED’s along with the side step and license plate light. I’ll post some pics in a few days I think it turned out really nice.

Seeing all these newer model cars starting to come with LED's that yellowish light is starting to look very out dated.

The GX comes with amber colored LED's in between the maplights, the front footwells, and inside all 4 door handles. The LED's are hardwired, so you need to cut them out in order to replace.

The dome lights, courtesy lights, running board lights and license plate lights are all halogen.

If you replace your halogens with white LEDs, I would also recommend changing the OEM amber LEDs to white. The amber and white don't go well together.

 

The LED map light on the GS is not bright enough, every GS owner including me complains about them. You can switch to LED panels on the GX's map light, but it was too much glare for me and I switch it back to halogen.
