The Michelins that came on my GX are already shot at slightly less than 20K. I have had them rotated religiously and stuck to the right inflation. The wear is even across the tread so I don't think alignment is the culprit. Could the notorius lean have caused them to wear faster? It does not pull to the right but I do have a slight case of "the lean". I know we get pretty much junk tires on new vehicles. My question, has anyone run Bridgestone Revos on the GX? I had them on all my 4Runners and on my Sequoia and got a lot of miles out of them. If this is not a good choice ( I am not much of a car guy, LOL.), could I get some suggestions that you guys have had success with. It's a 2013 GX Premium.

I am almost 29k on my stock Michelin's (2015GX). They still have enough tread to last me at least another 15k. I don't see my vehicle leaning, plus most of my miles are highway miles. If vehicle is leaning, the passengers tires should wear out quicker than driver's side. I believe the wear is due to your driving pattern / habits.
For me I always prefer Michelin over Bridgestone.

 

I sold my stock Michelins with 25k on them and they still had well over 50% tread on them.

 

I appreciate the input. Just sort of disappointing that they wore out so fast. Was looking at the tread again, they seem to be worn the worst in the center of the tread. The passenger side is definitely worn more than the drivers and I only have a minor "lean."

 

If your tires are wearing in the center, it is most likely due to overflation. Keep an eye on that and when you have them rotate tell them not to adjust the pressure.

 

Seems like it would take quite a bit of over inflation on a heavy truck like this
I guess the tire pressure monitors don't monitor over inflation.

 

I checked the tire pressure since I recently had a service done and thought maybe they over inflated them. Right in the middle of the suggested range ( but they forgot the spare, LOL.) Maybe I just got a bad set. This is the second time it has happened out of maybe 20 vehicles I have owned ( the other set that went bad were Dunlops) so I don't see it being the way I drive. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and go tire shopping.

 

I am also interested on experiences using the Revos on the GX. I loved them as well on the 4-Runner that I had before the GX. I currently have 50000+ miles on Bridgestone Duelers which I plan to replace shortly. The biggest negative from my experiences with the duelers is they do not track well on grooved roads including new concrete highways with small grooves.

 

My stock Michelin tires wore pretty fast on my 2010, on my 2014, I had the dealer take the Bridgestone tires off and install Michelin LTX M/S'2 tires. They are wearing much better. I would check into the LTX Michelins when it's time to replace your Latitude Tour HP Michelin tires.
