I would think the majority here are just talking about normal passing on the road and not passing into oncoming traffic like the video (I hope). I don't see the fun in endangering my life or someone else's. Just trying to get a little more passing power and feel the wind in our hair. I do love the roar of the V8.

Interesting. I didn't know about this as we are new to the GX. Did take a long trip this last week and really enjoyed cruising the interstate in the GX. Seemed to us that there was plenty of power.

So, I am still driveing my truck hard/aggressive and thought I would check in. Has this helped any new owners? Manual shifting will help to move this tank with its underpowered engine. Manual shifting gives you control of your GX when needed, I also use it to slow the truck down.

Techman you should make a video of this technique for those not familiar. I could not find any on youtube....at least in a language I could understand that is. I want to make sure to do it correctly before I get too ambitious. Don't want to be in service again next month for a new transmission.
Have no fear and shift it. You are not going to damage anything.
