Fixed vs. Sliding Tonneau Cover?

Fixed vs. Sliding Tonneau Cover?
I'm trying to figure out the difference between the "fixed" and "sliding" tonneau cover. Does anyone have any insight? Looking at new ones on ebay it looks like there's about a $175.00 difference between the two.

I don't have specific experience, but my guess is that the fixed model sits in place mounted at 4 corners, and you have to reach underneath it to add/remove cargo. You would have to physically remove the cover to have full access to the cargo area. The sliding cover supports detaching the front corners (closest to you), which allows the cover to "roll up" toward the back (like a window shade) so that you can have full access to the cargo area without physically removing the entire cover.
