Default Does Lexus offer anything like this for us?

As a fan of suvs in general, I often get emails from other manufacturers. One particular email that caught my attention came from Land Rover. Here's a link to their Facebook page with photos from adventures over this summer. After viewing these, I said to myself, wouldn't it be great if Lexus offered the same type of adventure for us? I mean, those Land Rovers were pretty stock and they were able to traverse trails where most crossovers would fail. We could even use our own vehicles so that some of us can learn of its capabilities and functions, such as switching to 4wd lo and/or locking the center differential. Btw, does anyone know of light trails in the northeast where one can take their vehicle off-road? Thanks.

I asked, and wished... but the salesman's response was, "if that's the only way to reach country golf club, then yes."

Yes, it definitely would be great if Lexus could organize something like that. Most, if not all, of us already know their vehicles are well-engineered and manufactured, but I am sure we would appreciate the GX more if we had an opportunity to venture off the beaten path in an organized event. The day can end with a hot meal in a country club or at a nice ranch. I know a lot of the 4Runner guys already do stuff like that on their own, and some of them can be pretty rustic.

I elect Eppieguy to lead us in November!!

I had just purchased my GX last month and was afraid to try anything fun yet when we were down a few weeks ago.

I only had about 1500 miles on it there and by mistake I put it airborne on the beach, nice soft landing and it sure was fun after I changed my underwear, LOL. Driving along the water is easy, you can do it in most cars, there is a short section from the road to where the sand is packed that it can get sketchy. I didn't air down but if you plan on playing on the soft stuff go down to 15ish PSI and it will make you and your GX' transmission a lot happier. I didn't air down but I was mostly on the packed sand. Have Fun!

Not something you're likely to see Lexus organizing.

Land Rover is a brand known for their vehicles being supremely capable offroad, thats essential to the fabric of the brand. So, events like these make sense for them because they fit in with their brand culture. Jeep has events like this too.

Lexus only has two "real" SUVs, and they are both niche models (low selling, relatively), and thats not the purpose of their brand. The GX and LX are the capable SUVs they are because it makes sense for them to utilize two models they can rebadge and rebrand that are already in the Lexus lineup, the LC Prado and the LC. They didn't set out to create two offroad capable SUVs...the platforms that made sense to rebadge just happened to be very offroad capable SUVs.

Totally different thing than Land Rover.

Give me a break. On these pictures you see modern day Range Rovers on low profile highway tires. If that's all they needed to complete the course then I can tell you it wasn't very difficult.

I'm not disputing that, I'm just saying this sort of an event ties in with Land Rover's brand identity...it doesn't do that for Lexus hence you'll never see Lexus hosting this type of event.
