IMO designing and engineering driver-oriented, interesting cars >>> collaboration with TV shows, advertising at Fashion Week, and hoverboards. Glad at least Lexus still leads in customer satisfaction.

I agree & believe the 22% increase is due to Lexus new corporate "face" (copying Audi) & other bolder styling changes bringing in new buyers without alienating legacy buyers to much.
I much prefer my 2007 IS350 front over my 2015 GS-F sport nose.

I don't know where that "copying Audi" comes from. Giant grill has been around got decades. Audi just have enough enthusiasts/fans promoting and emphasizing on their big grill design more than others. You know Mercedes is one of the oldests if not the oldest automaker in the world, right?

This is their 50s Gullwing featured big grill design.

We saw Jurassic World tonight, and holy smokes Mercedes Benz has some pretty good product placement. My new favourite SUV the G-wagon in blue/silver two-tone, the unimog, G Wagon 6x6, and the new GLE which my other half noticed right away and said that it looked great.

If you're impressed with the G-Wagon just looking at it, check out its construction and shut a few doors on it.....it's amazing. You will think they are bank-vaults. The G-Wagon is the only M-B product still in production today that has the tank-like construction that M-B was once known for up until the mid-late 1990s.

In that movie, though (at least from what I remember), the Mercedes vehicles didn't quite get the same attention that the Ford Explorer did in Jurassic Park.

Lexus product placement is far from impressive compared with the German luxury brands ......
