I have a very small chip from a rock on the lower front of the hood. Does anyone have a good success story for the use of touch up paint? I have tried my white BMW in the past and have limited success. I can't seem to get the spot smooth. FWIW I am using official paint from the dealer. Maybe that is my problem! ;-) Any help is most appreciated.

My mom had slammed the car door into a lamp post once, and that left a few small chips on the edge of the door. I bought the touch up paint pen from my local dealer, and surprisingly the results were pretty good! Even now I have a hard time finding that spot on the door.

 

I finally got around to getting the paint from the dealer. I was able to achieve success by getting my wife to do it instead of me!

I've had good experiances with Dr. ColorChip. My IS was Starfire Pearl and the touch up paint they sent me came in two containers one with White the other with the pearl/clear coat.
