Default Turn off AFS?

Out of curiosity, why would anyone want to turn off the Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS)? There is an option on my panel menu to do so; I just can't think of a situation where I would want to. Anyone know why Lexus makes this option available, other than they can? Otherwise, it just takes up space in my scrolling menu; how 'bout they replace that with the outside temp displayed? Thx!

I think its to disable the system if there is a problem.

Lexus certainly intended AFS to be easily deactivated as the option is included on all models of the GX. I can only presume there are some circumstances where it is a detriment ... perhaps windy roads requiring frequent steering correction, but we've not encountered a situation where it was a hindrance.
