Stopped by the local dealer (Woodfield Lexus, Schaumburg, IL) and they had a 2010 GX on the floor. Took a couple of pics since everyone likes pics right??

I really thought the tailgate was a liftgate now instead of the swing out door - upon further inspection it's still a swinging door. I like how they hid the wiper up top though.

The truck looks pretty good to me, I can't wait to get my hands on one!! I live in Canada, so I still have to wait for another week or two before my dealer has one on the lot. Just a question of curiosity: Is is OK to put larger profile tires on those rims? I think that will make the truck look better.

Looks good to me as well, However I don't think it seperated itself enough from the looks of the 4Runner IMO.

The GX looks a bit "softer" than the 4Runner in my opinion. The 4Runner looks - and is - a serious off-road machine, probably a little bit too macho for going to an Italian restaurant, while the Lexus is more suitable for going to fancy restaurants, and some off-roading at the driver's will.

I really like this new model in person. I think it could use some beefier tires, but otherwise it is a great looking truck.

On another note, I too think it would be a great idea to add a separate GX460 section instead of combining 460's and 470's as is now.

Finally, a SUV with HID!!! This just got bumped on my "to consider" list. My '04 GX was decent, but it definitely needed improvements. It appears that this '10 GX has hit the mark on the "wish" list, but now I need to test drive one. It appears the motor was slightly reduced from the 4.7 to 4.6; interesting, not sure what to think of it.

The motor is both more efficient and more powerful. It's a win win over the old 4.7 V8.
