Default 2010 gx

Hey all, I was browsing the forums over at Lexus Owners Club and came upon some more detailed information regarding the new Gx460. Late November 2009 - pricing letter and price guides sent to dealers

The 2010 GX will have two model numbers, 9700 (base model) and 9710 (premium model).

9700 (Base Model) = 80%. 9710 (Premium Model) = 20%.

9700 1 build strategy (100% Navigation):
CP = Comfort Package (includes outer mirror with auto retract, park assist)
NV = Navigation
PM = Premium Package (wood steering wheel/shift know, semi analine leather, rear A/C, heated rear seats)

9710 1 build strategy (100% Navigation):
- Includes the following additional standard specs (heated and wood trim steering wheel, HID headlamps with AFS, outer mirror with auto retract, rear tonneau cover, rear A/C, heated rear seats and semi analine leather), plus the following option codes:
NL = Navigation with Mark Levinson
PA = Park Assist
RI = Rear Seat Entertainment

Availability:
Lexus Southern Area tentative production plan:
November '09 (late December/early January arrivals) = 386 units
December '09 (late January/early February arrivals) = 691 units
January 2010 (late February/early March arrivals) = 766 units
February 2010 (late March/early April arrivals) = 828 units

Please remember, I'm simply a middle man; so outside of this information I really have no knowledge of the upcoming Gx. I just felt this was good information to know; whether it's 100% accurate or not, especially for those potentially in the market for it like me. Certainly makes the new Gx worth waiting for (IMO at least). I just hope I can afford it!

Very interesting, thx for sharing. It looks plausible to me, and has the tone of the Lexus new vehicle information releases. Dual screen RSES, like the 3RX, sounds good, improved seating, etc. The schedule sounds about right. As for the rear door, a source of some discussion, the "flip open rear glass" sounds like a two-piece liftgate, a la this version of the new Prado: http://lexusenthusiast.com/2009/07/0...gx-460-photos/

Thank you very much for the info, Qx2Gx.

I expect the new GX will cost 10% more than the 2009 model, probably due to more optional features have become standard. Sounds like a very luxury SUV to me, definitely comparable to the LX!!

Sounds like it's going to be a very luxurious truck...finally, one with HID lights that include AFS. Most of the other stuff mentioned are actually equipment items that other manufacturers have already been including on their trucks so it's good to hear that Lexus has finally caught up in that regards. Now, let's see if Lexus is putting anything ahead of the other manufacturers in the new GX.

I also hope that it's not going to be too much of an increase in price over the previous generation like how the new Landcruiser is completely 15 to 20k way overpriced.

Nice find

As long as the Mark Levinson sound system stays standard in Canada its all good!

I have a feeling the Canadian price wont be increased

Probably the retail price will higher than last year's, but dealers will give a bit more discount so it will cost a bit more than the previous model.

Thanks for the info, appreciated .

10 airbags standard, available HID with AFS, heated and ventilated seats, dual screen rear entertainment, semi analine leather, heated wood steering wheel, and heated rear seats with semi analine.

A lot of standard and optional equipment which is great to see. The gap between this new GX and the new Prado has definitely increased compared to the previous gen, and that is a good thing.

Great to see the GX become a true Lexus while still maintaining it's midsize dimensions and off-road prowess.

I just hope it doesn't go back to its previous price of $66800 (2004)

I certainly hope not, that would DEFINITELY put it out of my price range...wouldn't that almost put it close to the price range of the LX? I know the fully loaded LX is around $85k. I really don't want to have to wait for the new GX to get old enough so I can buy it pre-owned; only to pay $50k for it used.

The 2004 LX (Canada) was $100k

Lexus used to ask for a nice premium for the models because of the ****ty exchange rate lol

I should compile the price difference from all countries (for all the models)

I'm excited about HID lights. I can't wait for this to be on the dealer lots.

I suspect that the Rear Door will swing out. Only the glass will flip up.
