Research what Crawl Control is and if youd use that. MultiTerrain is kind of an "adjustable ATRAC" in my opinion, but Crawl is essentially another level of that, IF YOU ARE CRAWLING....slowly, over boulders, ledges, or to get out of deep sand even.

ive had both for a while also. mts is more of a throttle adjust to what you input. could be helpful for those who dont know a lot about different throttle strategies for different conditions
cc is more of an automatic individual wheel control to lock certain wheels and rotate others.

mts is something you could keep activated the entire drive
cc is not something you would keep activated the entire drive

i dont use mts at all. i tried it out and found no benefit for me. but i do see a benefit for others.
i have used cc a few times when stuck.

MTS offers up the ability to vary A-TRAC so it works both throttle and brakes. I often use it in sand and snow. With A-TRAC disabled the vehicle becomes like an old school open-diff 4WD rig with it’s traction disadvantages.

With Northeast Ohio winter, I have been also using the sand and snow settings when in heavy snowing days. Works quite well.

I installed it years ago and have never actually used it in practice outside every 6 months to make sure it still works in the event I do...

I installed it for snowy conditions (just haven't driven in any that warranted activating it) or in the sand at OBX if ever got stuck (crawl control feature) however the GX has never gotten stuck in the sand using regular 4WD and not being an idiot while driving on the beach.

Mine came with crawl control. I recently added MTS as more of a "just to have it". I've not used it yet.

how does the GX behave in snow just as-is vs with MTS activated? I actually bought the little module to retrofit into my ‘16 but i never got to it. Just been lazy. Oddly enough I managed to install CC.

But my experience with the GX in Jersey snow with the system as-is (no MTS) has been great. The car gotten me through relatively bad snow (12 inches or less) with no issues.

From my experiences, it show definitely better traction and control, especially in deep snow. Far lesser slips especially during stop and go situations.
