Front/Rear Diff & T-case service question
I have a stock 2021 GX 460 with 31K miles, and am going to service the front/rear diff"s along with the T-case. I was wondering if I will have enough room to service all three without the GX being lifted up or will I be able to do the job on just level ground? Appreciate any thoughts on the matter. Also wondering if anyone is running anything other than Lexus oil products to do these and if so, what.

It would be a bit of a squeeze under a stock truck, but manageable. Taking off the front skid to access the front diff may be the most challenging. Rear diff is super accessible and you can get to the transfer case from the side.
As for oil, GL-5 gear oil, is recommended option. I use valvoline synthetic 75w-90 since it comes in a convenient squeeze pack, making the filling process pretty easy. You can use the same oil in your transfer case according to

On the front diff ... the plugs can be difficult to remove, so remove the fill plug first (as always as a procedure) ... these plugs must have a dissimilar metal challenge since they can be close to impossible to remove, and have a relatively shallow 10mm allen ... so make sure to use a good allen socket, and that it is fully engaged before attempting removal. I always replace the drain plug with a Prado hex bolt style that can take huge torque without rounding. The drain plug is the one I have always experienced as being a #@!! to remove.

Use a jack to get the front up just a touch will help. Wheels still on the ground but lifting it like an inch or two will make a huge difference. There is an exhaustive thread about this topic that has plenty of tips and tricks to help ensure your success.

Good tip re the drain plug. I replaced the drain plug of the front diff with this one from KAON. Also, remember to pick up some new crush washers. GXBob lists them on his how to vids.

I used RavenOil from blaupart you can specify and get the oil you need. I ordered the washers from Lexus parts online with other parts when they have sale

They typically charge 2X the retail price for fluids ... with all three probably quoted at 1.5 Hours Labor @ $150 per Hour (typical Dealership average) = $225.00 Labor plus the cost of getting ripped off on fluid upcharge.
