Thread has started to come back around thanks, but request to drop the rude personal comments. Don’t need that here, don’t need it to disagree politely
This thread got weird fast.
When I replace the radiator I will also drain the block. How much coolant should I expect to need? I've seen a post where someone got just over 9 quarts out is that typical?

Total capacity is 16.3 qts if you drain radiator and block. Probably a conservative number as I don't think the rear heater core will drain completely.
It depends on the part, but many times ordering from an oem manufacturer will get you an actual oem part, for example https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...oner-info.html Especially for cars with low productions numbers like the LS460 the cost to retool or redesign would probably be more than the cost to build to slightly higher specs for many parts
^^ true. On high volume models/parts I'm seeing more and more examples of lower quality vs. original. I bought a rad for one of my older cars it has the same sticker as above and the radiator is obviously much higher quality than the made in China part. Nothing against China, the part is built to a price point even the sticker is low quality on the China part.
