Help Identifying Steering or Suspension (?) Component Leak
Hey fellow gx-ers. I noticed a wet area on driver side (assuming a) steering or suspension component on my 2019 GX460. Over 50k miles, but have extended warranty. The photos are from underneath looking toward driver side tire and suspension component.
Would appreciate opinions on what this is before my trip to dealer and request for warranty repair. Passenger side is dry.
Headed to dealer tomorrow to pick up some parts. Might drop car off at service if this needs repair.

I would check the drive axle boot to see if it is leaking and spraying grease up there.

Do you know what the part is in the photo?
I did have some warranty repair several years ago and may have been axle/boot. Have to check my records.
Surprised they would not have cleaned it up though.
Ok. I checked my dealer at the time and they did replace a Passenger side Axle Boot. So, this is different - opposite side from prior repair.
The upper ball joint boot is packed with grease, yes. It is possible that the boot is leaking grease. If that joint has been disassembled previously, such as to remove the drive axle that you mentioned, the boot might have been damaged. Some mechanics use a pickle fork to separate the joint, which is a no-no, as it will damage the boot.

Thank you so much. Very helpful. I scheduled an appointment at my local dealer for next week. Earliest available.
