Default Mice in the HVAC system

Our GX lives in the driveway, with five cars already crammed into a three car garage. Mice are getting into the HVAC ducting and storing food on top of the cabin air filter. I can't find anything online about keeping them out or how to access the ducting for cleaning. Last time I changed the filter I put a rodent-deterrent pine-scented pouch on top of it, but I'd like to clean out the ducts and screen over wherever they are getting in. Can't find any info about accessing the ducts or where the air intake is. Anyone here have that info or similar experience?

Replace the Lexus (Fabric) Cabin Filter with a K&N Cabin Filter ... mice easily chew thru the former for access into the heater box (which is an absolute nightmare) ... the latter has wire mesh on both sides of the cotton filter element that cannot be breached. The latter is also reusable as a bonus.

Any scented "remedies" to deter mice do not work.

I’ve been using this reusable one for 5 years or so. It also has a wire mesh
