Default One Month Impression

Hey all- just a few thoughts after a little over a month with my '23 GX460. Only about 700 miles to date. I will start with the nitpiks, which are really minor:
1. Wish the radar cruise worked in traffic.
2. Can't see the heated steering wheel switch too easily, or the auto headlight switch
3. Remote starts shuts down when you get in

What I love:
1. That V8- so smooth. Sufficient power when you need it.
2. Feels like a first class cabin. Super ride over bad roads. Everything you touch has a tactile feel. Relaxing to drive and very comfy.
3. Feels very rugged, I don't dance around the ruts as much anymore.
4. It is different, you don't see them everywhere, but very cool when you see one on the road. Amazing following by the owners.
5. Lexus support- so far, good support, but not much experience yet.
6. Seems like a great value and well worth the money considering the other stuff out there.

More thoughts after I get more mileage. I jumped on this SUV with a couple of months left on my leased BMW 330 xdrive, as I knew they were out of production,

Which package is your 23 GX460? What was the msrp on yours and what type of discount did you get?

I also owned a 23 Premium Plus that I purchased brand new back in August of 2023 that had an msrp of $64,300. I got a $7,111 discount on it. I traded it in 2 weeks ago for a brand new 23 Sport Premium Plus GX in order to get the lower promotional 2.49% 48 months/4 years financing to save $13,000 in interest payments and to shave off 32 months off the loan term on the initial GX that I purchased back in August 2023. The msrp on the Sport Premium Plus was $68,120 and I got an $8,500 discount on it.

Have you noticed that the center LCD screen is brighter on top than on the bottom? Where the MPH would show? Figure that one out :-)

Did they give you a good price on the trade in!? Inventory is getting thin in the Northeast. For the first time in a long time, I bought this car at a dealer close to me. So the discount was important, but not my only goal. My financing was a funny story- they started out at 7.75%, and they were able to immediately get me 6.29% when I said a credit union was at 6.39%. The first payment coupon came last week, I tallied the interest over 6 years and just paid it off. Saved almost 12 grand over the life of the loan.

They gave me $52,500 for my trade in. I also had $3,869 equity in my trade in that I used towards the new GX460.

When did you purchase your GX? The reason why I’m asking is because Lexus has been offering the 2.49% 4 years and the 4.49% 5 years special financing. How is it that you didn’t get the special financing on your GX. Did you purchase yours when Lexus didn’t offer the special financing?

Bought my GX first week of January. They did not offer me the 2.49%. I intended to pay it off quickly, was just a matter of how soon and where I was going to draw the funds. I also figured with a large discount. perhaps the financing incentive was not available.

I’m surprised that they did not offer you the 2.49% special promotional interest rate. Lexus had the 2.49% since December 2023 and they extended it for January and for February 2024. The incentives end on March 4th I think.

Thank you. I think that I did pretty good by getting rid of the old high interest long term loan for a lower interest rate short term loan. Plus I was able to get an upgraded package on the new GX460 purchase. I can't wait to pay it off in the next 4 years. My 2022 ES350 Ultra Luxury will also be paid off 2 months earlier before my 23 GX460 gets paid off. We religiously maintain all of our vehicles. I hope that both vehicles will look good, run well and last for many years and that we put 500,000 to 1,000,000 miles on each of them without having any problems with them.

I am not sure why it was not offered, but perhaps it had something to do with the offered discount. Didn't really matter though, I paid it off as soon as the first payment coupon arrived. Waiting for title.
