I had a 2017 GX that I sold stock. Prior I installed a lift, wheels, roof rack and full under armor. Luckily I stopped short of fully cutting the side steps for sliders. I traded the car into Vroom and watched it sit on their website for about 6 months before I think it ended up at auction. It did have cut side steps ( around wheel well area not for sliders) and holes drilled for the reservoirs on the frame which could have turned off potential buyers if they saw it in person. I had no loss in value, mostly thanks to pandemic I made money on it. However, I am sure vroom did not and it was loss for them. So basically if you are concerned over lets say a couple grand hit you could potentially take like I am sure vroom did, then modding may not be for you. If you have extra cash to mod a car and are not worried about the loss in mods/labor and reduced car value. I say go for it. I modded my 2022, but now with 10,000 miles and 2years old, I don't plan on getting rid of it for awhile. This one will get cut up and used, so the next buyer is not my concern for a long time.
