Grinding while going into park
Hi, I have an 05’ GX and it started grinding while going into park today. This is my typical stop and park process.
1. Complete stop and move transmission lever to neutral.
2. Move transfer case lever from high to neutral.
3. Move the transmission lever from neutral to park.
My grinding issue only arises when I go from neutral to park with the transfer case in the neutral position. Does anyone have any insight on this issue? I got the car less then a month ago.
Thanks!

Don't park with the transfer case in neutral unless you're also using the handbrake. It disconnects the axles from the parking pawl inside the transmission, and it could roll away. You should be getting a red warning light on the dash when you do this.
See what happens when you come to a stop, and just go from drive to park.
