Default transmission fluid change?

was trying to get some info on changing trans fluid in my 2009 GX 470. it is a sealed unit so it is suppose to last but i recently had to replace radiator, and the new one had a faulty o ring in the trans fitting so lost a lot of fluid before i found the leak. was reading other forums about it and was wondering when checking fluid level that the temp should be at a certain degree, i have a scan tool that gives me that but have not found any info on what the temp is. any help would be appreciated.

Add fluid from the side of your transmission and follow this procedure to see if you have too much or too little.

The way I do it is:
  • drain the trans fluid at the pan, then put bolt back on
  • replace trans fluid with the same amount that came out
  • next, disconnect the return trans fluid line at the cooler in front and put the line in an empty jug
  • start the engine, and shut it off as soon as the t fluid starts to sputter
  • replace the same amount of fluid, repeat until clean
hope this helps. I use synthetic fluid
