Replace cargo window chrome molding
With my newly acquired 2006 GX470, some of the rubber seals in the window moldings are coming off due to age. I have replaced these chrome window belt molding for all 4 doors. But I am kind of stuck trying to figure out how to replace the same chrome molding in the rear cargo window highlighted in the picture below.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to replace this chrome piece? Thanks so much in advance.

It is a bit of a pain to do it by the FSM method.
You need to pull the interior panels of the cargo area and actually remove the quarter window to access a screw holding it in. Some people talk about prying on the window to access but YMMV. You have to start with the rear seat floor trim, rear seat belt anchor and follow that back. Pull the hatch trim, floor tye downs, then start pulling the interior cargo panels off, quarter window door cam and two other bolts hold the window in.
Once you do one side the other side will go much quicker. If you are in GXOR there are some more descriptive posts, it's been a while since I've done this.

Wow, that sounds like quite a bit of work to replace a $45 part. I gotta see if I can find a FSM document on how to take these panels apart rather than start prying opening pieces. Thanks for enlightening me.
