2006 GX 470 wheels vs 4 runner wheels
i have 2006 GX 470 with rusting chrome wheels. Found late model 4 runner pulloffs that i like in same size but not sure they will fit or that the offset is the same. anyone tried this change and what was difference?

I put 2016 Tacoma TRD 17” takeoffs. They fit but the caliper rubbed on the inside of the wheel ever so slightly. Offset was fine so I grinded on the caliper a little to make it clear.

I have a 2004 GX. Wheels were toast and leaking from day one. 2015 T4R wheels, tires, and spare. Fit and ride is great for me. Craigslist has pulloffs all the time for guys modifying toyotas. You can usually get a good deal if you are patient. 700$ for tires, wheels, and spare. Unused.

Picked these up on the weekend For $700. Fast HD 17" rims with good Toyo Observe winter tires. They came off a Toyota 4Runner and they fit the GX470 perfectly. I think this was a great deal!!

Refinished factory gx470 rims. Bilstein 5100's upfront, 265/70/17's. Here are a couple of pictures for the refinishing process I used
Process;
-wire brush on drill to grind off rust/oxidiztion to bare steel
-sanded, sanded, sanded
-solvent clean
-etching primer
-3 layers of high solids primer
-body shop paint
-2 layers of epoxy style clear coat
that is all
