Anyone ever hear of this 1?!?!?!?!
Took a while to figure out why I was popping fuses to the courtesy lights every once in a while. Last night my date helped figure out why, when the passenger side visor is lowered POP! Makes sense now. I tried it today to make sure. So, by chance anyone take a visor off or know where the wiring runs through them? I was pretty surprised Lexus did not design them with the wires protected from wear, obviously I have 2 worn ones causing a short.

Internal to the visor, there's a rotating contact that transfers power from the arm out to the mirror. If you extend the visor (slide it out) you'll see the mirror lights go dark as it loses contact.

Thanks Chip! I appreciate it! I have noticed that you know a lot about these vehicles you have comments for just about every post! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

I noticed that too. Good info from Chip. If I see he has posted on a thread, I read it without hesitation.

lol thanks guys. I've taken a few interiors apart over the years - after a while you learn that all the big car makers are really just assemblers using the same set of parts with some appearance changes.
