Good to know I'm not the only one not able to transfer the contacts with IPhone - assumed it was lack of knowledge. Have the same list on wife's Samsung 5 (non-exploder). I'll try that tomorrow and post if it works.

Android phones can transfer to any of the GX models but Iphones cannot to any of the older models Lexus vehicles before like 2012 (I could be wrong but the 3rd gen GS could not and I don't know about the 2nd gen GX). I have a 2006 GS300 and 2004 GX470 and have switched to the USA SPEC Bluetooth Audio and Handsfree so I can stream music because the 2004 GX did not have bluetooth and my 2006 GS' Bluetooth stopped working after iOS 10 update.

levinsoy, I appreciate your post. Had not read anything about iOS10 interfering with BT. I've been trying to install a Vaistech SL3B and it doesn't see my iPhone 6. That may be the reason. Also didn't know about USA SPEC or would probably have tried them first. Thanks again.

Yeah,I have used vaistech before and it's a great product when it was connected via cable but when I tried the SL3B for Bluetooth streaming I had all types of problems with it working with my factory Bluetooth for handsfree phone. They would get crossed and I stopped being able to answer the phone or Bluetooth streaming stopped working so after a while I went back to cable in one of the old vaistech sl2i-up units which worked great. I now just disconnected my factory and use the USA SPEC BT-45 TOY unit for Bluetooth audio and phone and it's great, even steering wheel controls work. I would def suggest it for any of the older Lexus vehicles since the factory Bluetooth cannot be updated like our phones get updates every few weeks.
