Down hill switch on console

Down hill switch on console
I forgot if the down hill assist switch mounted on the center console next to the shifter is it illuminated I know it lights up green on the dash instrument cluster when switched on but does the switch it self illuminate and if so how do I get to the bulb.

It does light up. You can use a plastic trim tool to pop the switch out. The connector & wires behind it are somewhat short so reconnection might be a challenge after the bulb swap.
You want bulb 84988J and you just use a small flat-head screwdriver to unscrew it from the side of the switch body.

Whoops - just went and looked at it in my car. It does NOT come out from the top like other switches. You will need to remove the "wood" panel and get to it from underneath.
Use your trim tool and remove the plastic wings, starting back at the storage bin. The first part of this video shows how:
Then lift up on the shifter panel, from the back by the storage bin. The rest will be obvious (clips/screws)
