Default Help! Truck is making a turbo sound.

My truck is making a turbo/supercharged sound when driving. It sounds like I install an aftermarket muffler/exhaust, like a magnaflow muffler. It's been making the sound for almost 2 months. The truck drives great without any issues. One thing I notice If I slightly turn the wheel left/right the sound goes away. The sound gets louder as the truck picks up speed.
Thanks in advance guys, your knowledgeable input is greatly appreciated.

I don't hear the sound when I start the engine w/ the hood up. I should also mention the sound is not present when I start the car in the morning and let it warm up for 10 minutes. Only when I drive car I hear the sound. Also the battery is almost new. Put it in about a month ago. Could it be something else besides the alternator ?

Have you checked the front wheel bearings?

Need as much info as possible! Turn the wheel left to right moving or sitting at a stop? Did you check your PS fluid?

Yes, the more I accelerate the louder it gets. It doesn't with throttle or gear selection.

No, i haven't done that. however I don't think is the wheel bearing. If it were the sound would be different.I have dealt with wheel before in other vehicle that I've had. Wheel bearing sound is easier to spot than the one I'm having right now.

When I am driving and turning the wheel left or right I do not hear the sound. It only makes the sound when the truck is moving. Yeah, PS is fine.

Maybe a cracked manifold or hole in the exhaust someplace, but that usually doesnt make a turbo sound lol

Power steering pump is my first guess. Have you checked the fluid?

Hi 180ls,
Do you mean the power steering fluid? If so, I have already checked it and it's fine.

Can you tell if its the right or left side? It could be a manifold or gasket. Do you know any independent shops you trust or the dealer to run or check for the issue?
