Reading dome light wiring help
Hello All
I'm replacing my second row entertainment system with regular dome lights and need some help in wiring.
It currently has 2 set of wires (red purple black & red black). Red black one is extra power for unit I suppose so we can ignore those. (Pic attached)
Dome light I purchased has 3 input socket. (Pic attached)
1) can someone help me the ordering/color of wire in 3 pin socket from left to right? I saw wiring diagram in sticky but I'm not too technical so can't understand much.
2) can we get male adapter for this 3 pin socket? And what it is called?
Thanks in advance. This group is really very helpful.
Thanks Bulletguy

Any idea how to figure out code given the situation? Red black and purple are thick wires and has sticker mentioning dome light on it so I'm hopeful on that part atleast.

I think the stock wires are the 3 still wrapped in tape in your picture. If you unwrap them they should be all white. Then you just have to figure out which goes to which pin. Should be able to figure that out with a meter.
