HELP!! 08 GX A/C Vents spitting out Charcoal Like Flakes / White Dust and Fibers
Anyone ever had this issue? My AC vents have charcoal like flakes (disinegrate if you rub your fingers together) in addition to white powdery dust and fibers coming out of them. I have had the car to the dealership 3 times. The first time they replaed the drivers side left vent (claimed deterioration of the vent) - the second time they sent it back with nothing and the third time they replaced the evaporator coil.
I'm still having issues with this material coming out - and I'm super allergic to it as the particles embed in your skin. Any suggestions / thoughts? Desperate!
I've had the car for about a year and half and really dont want to get rid of it!

This might be a dumb question since you already took it to the dealer and it should have been the first thing they checked.... but did you check your cabin filter inside the glove box? The filter is comprised of tiny charcoal material and if the casing is broken it would let these particles fly into the vent. Just checking....

+1. By the way, if your dealer didn't check this on their own, then your dealer is incompetent. Put a different way, it's about a 10min DIY to pull out the cabin air filter. Another ~$32 to buy a replacement @ your local toyota or lexus dealer. I'd recommend checking it yourself because of my first point
