as for low temp (10F) issue, sounds like the battery has bad chemistry what brand bat is it?
well My battery is a Toyota , so may just get a optima battery .

thanks for your feed back

Just had a free AAA diagnostic done and the battery seemed ok. It’s about 4 years old. Same issue as the earlier posters. Lights on for maybe 5 min while vacuuming. Is he optima still holding up? Should I get the paid diagnostics? Seems like spending 130 or so for a test only to have the battery be the culprit is a waste. Thanks for your input!

Is the battery equal spec. direct replacement? When cold, cranking current decreases. Double check the CCA rating of the battery. In cold weather V8 engine is easier to start. Sluggish cranking is definitely indication of lack of enough juice from the battery assuming all the connections including ground strap is good. I live up in Alberta, cold temp. could be as low as -30F. We always keep an eye on our batteries in the winter.
