Default 2009 Tail Lights - Plug n Play?

Hello everyone...I am considering getting some '09 GX470 tail lights to replace my '03 GX470 tail lights.

Does anyone know if the '09 tail lights are plug n play with the '03 tail lights harness? I want to make sure I don't need anything else besides the tail lights.

Thanks.

Absolutely I did mine which is a 04, no problems at all. Straight forward replacement, has a better appeal.

It was around 145/- a peice and both came up to around 280 ( w/o shippings) If I am not mistaken. So go for it, Sewell offers the best price you can get across any other Competitive Dealers for CL members. I can't think anybody better then them in such cases. For the removal part the driver side was damm easy, except the step to accomdate into the housing of the bulb adapter needs to be shaven a bit ( best with a leatherman) The Turn signals bulbs need to be yellow instead of normal white which the earlier models are equipped. the toughest part was to remove the Co driver side, as the Rear door is hindrance, so to remove it, you need to push it out from the side than from the rear end. As lot of dust settles down, the locking mechanism is a bit tight. The new ones just go in straight fit. Hope this helps. cheers

I am curious as to how it would look. I think these are the same style lights on the Prados I seen overseas.

That would be interesting. I just hate build quality of everything non-oem
