Default Starter replacement...

Has anyone had to replace a starter on their GX?

With 230k miles on our 2005 I've wondered how long these starters will last. I've already replaced the alternator at around 130k.

Still on original starter too.

The starter is under the intake manifold, so if you're going in to replace it, consider fixing/deleting the secondary air injection system (if you have it) as it's right there and will save on labor.

HA, I already did the secondary air injection repair! This was early last summer. Believe it or not, after contacting Lexus and with some encouragement/participation from my dealer they paid for 75% of it so it made it worth while. It never hurts to ask.

My next big repair is going to be my slow cooling valley plate leak. As of now it's very slow so im not losing a lot of coolant but man what a PIA that repair is.
