Default Electrical issue or ABS wheel speed sensor

2006 GX470 109k Miles. To be short and sweet I’m having a Christmas tree of lights on my dash starting on the 12th. July 14th autozone tested battery and alternator and both came back 100%. Had a check engine light for ABS wheel speed sensor (they couldn’t tell me which one could be bad). I wanted to do more digging so I didn’t buy a sensor. Went home and noticed also that when I step on the gas the radio and AC turn off, then a few seconds after I let off the gas the radio/ AC will come back on. I’m lost here. 16th of July I went to autozone for oil and filter and no lights were on except the battery which was intermittent. Autozone then checked again and said the alternator was the issue. I bought it and have yet to install it. Should I try the wheel speed sensor first?! Or take the alternator route? I’m lost. Please help

Get the charging system sorted before you chase down any codes, flaky voltage can cause all manner of random problems. Beware, if you buy anything but a Denso alternator it could very well be bad out of the box, not work correctly, fail in short order.

so tackle the alternator first? The sensors are 10x easier to replace

Paying a shop to properly diagnose the problem would likely be quicker and less expensive than throwing parts at it until you figure it out. You can still do the required repair yourself to save money, but before you start buying parts you need to diagnose the issue.

Check the alternator voltage before you tackle on it.

Agree. Voltage should be above 14v when the engine is running and some electrical load is being applied (headlights + rear defrost, say)

If you do need to replace the alternator, check that the front splash shield on the passenger side is in place. It protects the alternator from water being thrown on it by the tires.
