Hello,

I'm a new GX470 owner and I'm happy to join this forum. I just encountered some weird electrical behavior that I'm hoping someone can offer some advise.
I own a 2004 model and this weekend the backup camera stopped working, and I also noticed the mirrors got stuck in the down position, which would normally activate when I put the car in reverse. I also noticed later that same day that my key fob stopped working and I was not able to lock the car with it. Lastly, the clock started resetting every time I started the car.

I read somewhere that some of those symptoms could be a result of a weak or dying battery. It had drained on me a couple of times over the last two weeks and when I checked it, it was the wrong size battery (24F vs. recommended 27F). I picked up a new one battery today at Costco and installed it hoping it would address some of the issues that I though were a result of the some systems not getting enough power. After going through the whole power window initiation process, the windows worked properly, but nothing else changed except for the driver side mirror, which went back to normal. Has anyone else encountered this issue? As of this afternoon, the navigation screen has also stopped working, but every other display works (music, menu, climate control).

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Check the ECU-B fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.

Do a quick alternator test as well, could be the cause of the dead battery.

I checked the ECU-B fuse and sure enough, it was blown. Replaced it and everything works perfectly now. Thank you again for help!!
