Default 2006 gx470 AC and idle problem!!

Hello everyone, I own a 2006 gx470, and I have encountered my first problem at 104,000 miles! I was driving at night, and I turned the heat on, and once I did that, the RPMs dropped from 700 to 400 and less, and the RPMs began to rev to 1000 and drop back at 400 and wouldn't stop. Even while in drive, park, and natural, I turned the heat off that car went back to normal. I started the car this morning and waited for it to warm up thoroughly and tried the heat, then the car did the same thing but stalled this time! If anyone knows what the problem is pls let me know!. Thanks for your time and help.

Any weird noises while this is happening? You could try turning on your heat and hitting the AC button to turn it OFF (normally defaults to on when you turn on the HVAC), and see if it can be isolated to when the AC is on? Maybe a bad pulley or something, or a seized compressor?

thanks for responding! No weird sounds just revs high and drops back in and doesn't stop until I turn the AC off when the cars in drive it does the same thing and jerks the car forward... I check the belt and it was tight shoud I take it off and check the pulleys?
