Hello All!

My wife wants to upgrade from her 2009 GX. Specs below:

• 2009 Blizzard Pearl/Beige Interior w/150K
• One owner car purchased 6/09
• Car has factory navigation
• All service until 85K done at Lexus
• All Service since (including TB/WP @~90K) done at Independent shop. Records available for all except oil changes as these were done at a local EXPRESS Lube.
• Bone Stock with ~60% tread life on tires.
• Front and Rear pads and Rotors replaced within last year.
• Battery replaced within last year.
• Rear bumper cover replaced in ~2013.
• Front Bumper has some scratches.
• A few door dings but pretty clean finish.
• Interior grade is 7/10.
• Recent service includes Brake Fluid/PS Fluid/Spark Plugs/Valve Cover gaskets (January 2020).

Can y'all give me an estimate of private sale value. Numbers are all over the map and wondering if we should trade or sell outright. Target replacement is a 2017-2018 GX with low miles.

Depends on location but I would say private sale approximately $12k, assuming zero or minor frame rust. As a private buyer I wouldn't pay much more than that for a GX 470 with those miles because you can start finding GX 460's at around $14.5k and similar miles. Mind you, I prefer the 460, but plenty of people prefer the 470 so they might be willing to pay more it than I would.

 

Thanks so much for the response. That's in the ballpark I was thinking ($11-$12K). Car is and always has been in Atlanta so no rust.
