Until we can get a better picture of each side of the engine.. there is no real theory. The heater core didnt blow hot because of an air pocket from previously running low on coolant.

My recommendation... go rent a coolant pressure tester, remove the splash shields, fill the radiator while it’s cold, remove the inner wheel liners(the little guys blocking the view of the engine, pressurize the system to 13-14 psi with the pressure tester, and find the leak.

Or just remove all the shields and engine cover... then take pics from all angles(top and bottom)... then we can give a theory.

Or I can guess...

- heater core
- freeze plugs
- a hose or clamp

I'll find away to do the pressure test to the system and report back. I'll take plenty of pictures as well. About to take a vacation so it will be a week away. Thanks for the help guys!
I'm leaning toward heater core but I'm not getting that antifreeze smell through the vents.

I have another question about the heater core. Does the GX model have a drain system to prevent leaks from the heater core dripping inside the vehicle? A feature that redirects to the outside of the firewall to prevent the fluid from damaging the floor carpet or interior cabin? I would assume that if the heater core was leaking it would show up under the dash inside the vehicle and not drip from underneath the engine.

I would expect the heater core would leak inside the cabin on these trucks.

Depends on how fast it’s leaking. If the evaporator drain can keep up.. then you won’t have coolant on the pass floorboard.

Have fun fun on your vacation.

I'm back from vacation to dive back into my coolant leak. I removed the skid plate to see better from the bottom. I took some pictures of where the drip is coming from. I don't see any of the hoses leaking. The water pump feels nice and tight connected to the fan assembly. Pictures to follow.

This shot is from the front directly under the serpentine belt system. When I topped the coolant off it leaked from the lowest pulley joint. The pulley directly under the water pump. In the last picture, the light is shining on the area of the drip. Bottom right area of the picture with nut.

It looks to start coming from behind this one bolt on black plate. Then it drips down off the cross brace in the next picture.
After the engine is cranked the leaks look to be more active under the fire wall area. It looks as though it is leaking from multiple spots? Very scary.

I've checked the engine oil and it looks to be clean and has not dropped any levels from last week.
