Default Stock front strut replacement question

I need to change the front shocks on my 2004 GX470 with the kinetic suspension. If I am replacing just the shock are there any other parts to buy? Is this a crazy hard job??

Strut mounts for sure if you aren't buying them preassembled. Also get new rubber spring isolators. I didn't when I did suspension on my CR-V before I sold it and it started rattling after only a few thousand miles. To replace the isolators after the fact means redoing the entire job. Double check your front upper and lower ball joints as well for play and do those when you do the suspension

Same question, but for the rear. Any suggestions on additional parts to buy/replace? Planning going with the OEM shocks to keep the comfort/sport setting.

As for the front, do we need new coilovers? Or just reuse the existing coilover?

If things get rusty where you live/drive, swaybar endlinks often need to be cut off and would require replacement. Not sure how that works on a KDSS truck though.
