Default Installing XM satellite antenna

Hi all - just aquired a 2004 GX470, looking to add satellite radio. I've done a search and cannot seem to find a thread on installing a satellite radio antenna. Anyone have experience doing so? Curious about best way to route the wiring.

Well, I don't know if this is the best way. However, this is what we did. I mounted the cable under the windshield trim in the middle of the roof, all the way forward.
The actual Sirius antenna is touching the window trim above the RVM.
I tucked the cabe under the rubber seal making sure it fit back correctly.

We came down the drivers side window trim and used black silicone to hold it in place.
I drilled a small hole in the firewall and used a rubber grommet with silicone passed it through under the dash.
(trying to keep fumes out, seemed to work well).
Tucked and zip-tied as needed.
Some people just run it hidden outside the car and into the drivers side door.
I think it works too. I just wanted a cleaner install.

Thx - will take a close look in the morning. Hoping to avoid routing it in front if I can help it, but mot sure what other options are out there.

No worries, good luck. Also, some people just set it on the dashboard close to the windshield. I did not want to see it there.

I agree, want it to look like a real install. May talk to local installers and see what they say -
