Satellite Antenna
Really want Sirius but just dont want to have that "puck" sitting on my ride.
Saw this in a parking garage...any satellite antenna's that are made like a mini sharkfin....??

i know it is ugly...the point is I have seen some very small ones and would rather have somthing like that on my window than the puck (and cable) on there..
Just checking...I may try the back window shelf but my radio reception already sucks...
The other place I was thinking for the puck was on the outside lower drivers side front window - where a lot of people put the toll road transponder...

In CA, you have to have the antenna fairly high or at least outside of the car. I tried the rear window shelf area and it's a definite no-go with lots of dropouts. I have the smallest antenna that Sirius makes on my roof and it's not too bad. Twister had a guy rig up an adapter so he could use the factory XM sharkfin antenna with his Sirius receiver. There is also a guy in Valencia that does the same XM-->Sirius conversions.
Originally, I had my Sirius puck antenna outside on the top of the rear fender. Than, as Robert mentioned, I had it wired into XM antenna. Now, I just got $39 dot antenna and threw it on the rear window shelf. That gives me the best reception!!! Of course, I'm on East Coast, so you better follow advice of fellow CA residents
